Dykediaries

Dykediaries memorializes the experience and existence of lesbians through fourty hand-picked pieces of media. These include artworks depicting sapphic themes, photographs capturing lesbian love and activism, and love letters sent between couples that immortalize their love. All of the images are hidden inside french folds, only to be revealed when the viewer pries the pages open in a voyeuristic manner. It is designed to raise awareness of the issue of the lack of visibility of lesbian identity in mainstream, academic and historical media, as well as on the fetishization of lesbianism and lesbian relationships.
